When completing your purchase at check out you may see an error related to an issue with your credit card.
Do Not Honor for example, generally means that your bank has placed a protective measure on your card, due to concerns around data breeches or fraud. Sometimes a bank has this precaution for any new purchase you make or a purchase in a different state from where you live.
Card errors could also be due to insufficient funds or information entered incorrectly.
What can you do?
- Review the information entered for typos, such as legal name, address, CVV, and postal code
- Try a different card
- Call your bank and verify with them that you are making this purchase, so they can lift the protective barrier
Any card that does not process at the first attempt, will be re-tried 3 days after the initial purchase date, and if unable to process, will run for a final attempt 2 days later.
